About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Engineering department the Painter is responsible in ensuring all paintwork, finishes, and decorative surfaces within the premises are maintained to the brand standards.

As a Painter
,
you will be mainly working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week however occasionally you will be required on a Saturday and/or Sunday so flexibility is required where applicable.

As
a Painter
, you will
be
responsible for the following duties
:

  • Responsible for preparing and painting surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and furniture in guest rooms, residences and public areas.
  • Carries out touch-ups and regular maintenance painting to ensure all areas are kept in excellent condition.
  • Prepares surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
  • Mixes and matches paints, applies finishes, and ensures work meets Mandarin Oriental brand quality standards.
  • Coordinates work to minimise guest disturbance and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
  • Maintains painting tools and materials inventory and reports any repair or maintenance needs to the Engineering Manager.
