Your Role:
As the Senior Product/Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Biosafety rapid testing solutions portfolios, which include cutting-edge molecular and next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who is passionate about innovation and market impact. In this role, you will conduct insightful market analyses to uncover opportunities and understand customer needs, develop compelling applications,  business cases, marketing strategies and drive innovation processes. You'll also support strategic initiatives that enhance our market presence ultimately driving commercial growth while making a meaningful difference in the industry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to gather insights on trends, competition, and customer needs for NGS and molecular assays.
  • Develop market-specific strategies and roadmaps, including innovation pipelines and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Create applications and business cases arising from Product Development Processes (PDPs) to support portfolio innovation, ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory considerations for capacity expansion.

Portfolio Positioning & Innovation:

  • Drive innovation processes (PDP, TDP) to meet customer expectations and enhance market positioning of the NGS and molecular portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, regulatory, quality assurance) to align innovative ideas and ensure successful execution.
  • Lead go-to-market (GTM) activities with marketing communications and scientific experts, including webinars and social media initiatives.

Strategic Support & Marketing Execution:

  • Support the marketing plan development, ensuring alignment with overall business strategies focused on the NGS and molecular landscape.
  • Develop and implement marketing tactics (collateral creation, webinars, promotional events) to effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Coordinate with commercial and field marketing teams for effective execution of strategic plans and daily operations.
  • Participate in annual Strategic Development (SD) and Operational Planning (OP) processes to align portfolio goals with business objectives.

Sales Support & Commercial Enablement:

  • Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries about pricing, assay amendments, and availability, while providing support during escalations and addressing quality and performance issues.
  • Equip commercial teams with knowledge on processes, innovations, and continuous improvements to enhance their selling capabilities.
  • Manage marketing campaigns to boost lab utilization and develop/update marketing assets (collateral, flyers, social media) for targeted customer audiences.
  • Collaborate with sales on tradeshows and conferences, creating necessary messaging and collateral.
  • Execute marketing communication plans, including webinars and account-based marketing campaigns.

This role is preferred to be placed in Glasgow (UK), Darmstadt (Germany), Rockville (USA).

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or business discipline; MBA/PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct and demonstrated experience in product management, portfolio management, or a related role within the life sciences or biotechnology industry
  • Proven track record in driving product innovation and managing go-to-market activities in a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, along with the ability to analyze business impact and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with a strong ability to drive business results and initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence and agility.
  • Highly collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
