We are seeking a talented, ambitious and technically competent individual to join our Corporate Tax team in Bristol.

This role will provide tax advisory services for a broad portfolio of clients such as large corporates and owner managed businesses. You will be joining a team that has an established book of business that you can take ownership of as well as the opportunity to grown the business further.

As a Director, your responsibilities will include among others:

• With the support of the Head of Department and other staff, responsibility for developing relationships and new business opportunities to provide a range of tax and other services too.
• Overall responsibility and accountability for a group of clients, with excellent technical expertise in your field.
• Skilled at leading and managing the relationship with clients, with the aim of developing new business from your current client base and beyond.
• Responsibility for encouraging and developing, associate directors and other staff members.
• Ensuring excellent client service whilst minimising conduct risk.
• Contributing to the management of your department and/or office if relevant.

Key experience & skills:

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience of business tax services to clients within a variety of sectors, gained within a professional services firm or boutique advisory practice.
• Proven complex client experience and client handling abilities.
• Demonstrable experience of generating and developing new business and key relationships.
• Strong technical leadership.
• Experience and knowledge of staff management.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.

• Judgement - the firm relies on your judgement in the services supplied to clients. This has to be delivered as per the client's needs, technically excellent, commercial and on time.
• Technical expertise - strong technical leadership and maintaining your technical competence is critical to ensuring clients receive an excellent service.
• Networking - you are skilled at developing and growing relationships in the wider market and leveraging these to create opportunities for the business.
• Communication - you communicate both verbally and in writing in an engaging and purposeful manner.
• Leadership - you will help drive and lead a culture of continuous development, be able to identify future talent and act as mentor and sponsor.

Education/Qualifications:

• Significant experience in corporation tax either within practice or industry
• Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser
