Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical tasks associated with gas installations and maintenance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate gas systems into existing infrastructures.
  • Perform assembly tasks related to gas installations, ensuring all components are fitted correctly.
  • Carry out heavy lifting as required during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each job.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience in carpentry is advantageous for integrating gas systems within building structures.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment to various job sites. Candidates should be proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in all aspects of their role as a Gas Engineer.
