We take pride in delivering exceptional technology solutions and support to clients across a wide range of industries. We're now looking for a proactive and customer-focused Junior 1st Line Support
Technician to join our friendly internal IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills in a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

This varied role has two key areas of focus:

  1. Providing IT support to our customers via telephone, remote access, or on-site visits.
  2. Carrying out administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of our business operations.

You'll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, helping clients resolve technical issues while developing your own knowledge and confidence in the process

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to customer queries by email and telephone.
  • Provide 1st line telephone and remote support to customers.
  • Carry out occasional on-site visits to client premises when required.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in the workshop or office.
  • Prepare and provide quotes for customer hardware and software requirements.
  • Advise customers on IT infrastructure improvements based on their needs.
  • Perform half-day server maintenance sessions, both remotely and on-site.
  • Log, update, and close support tickets with full details of work carried out.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and manage customer orders.
  • Raise purchase orders, sales orders, and move them through to invoicing.
  • Raise invoices and ensure smooth communication with the accounts team.
  • Study towards and complete relevant IT exams and certifications.
  • Support any additional technical or administrative requirements as needed by TLP Technology.

About You

  • A basic understanding of IT support but someone who is willing to learn.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure.
  • Positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and grow within the team.
