We are seeking Study Skills Tutors (ASC / SpLD) who are enthusiastic and committed to their role.

You will be supporting students following the requirements highlighted in their individual assessments. You will ensure a high quality and positive service is provided which focuses on removing barriers that prevent students from participating in higher and further education. You must encourage students to take responsibility for their own learning and to develop their skills as far as possible. You will provide expertise in the area of study to help students to develop their learning strategies.

Mandatory Requirements -

You must hold a Degree, Teaching Qualification and National Autistic Society (NAS) Women and Girls training OR Professional Body membership with one of the following:

  • (PATOSS) - Full / Associate / Affiliate Professional Membership
  • British Dyslexia Association (BDA) - Full professional or associate membership.
  • The Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE) - Professional membership

At Onyx Student Support we provide a variation of flexible student support positions to all Higher Education Providers (HEPs) across the United Kingdom. You can register with us to receive referrals for as many support positions as you qualify for and accept/reject referrals on a case-by-case basis depending on your availability. Once registered, you will be provided with access to our live referrals portal where you can view and request student referrals. Due to the nature of freelance work, we cannot predict or guarantee hours in advance. Referrals are uploaded daily during office hours and we will aim to build you up to your ideal caseload.
