Are you organised, detail-oriented, and ready to play a key part in supporting our Strategic Assets business? Balfour Beatty is looking for a proactive Administrator to join our dynamic team in Derby. You'll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, ensuring commercial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out a full range of administrative duties to deliver an efficient service
  • Processing weekly timesheets and inputting data into our financial systems
  • Managing supplier invoices from start to finish for both internal and external customers
  • Supporting general financial and commercial tasks
  • Operating office systems, processing documents, and maintaining accurate records
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders to support partnership working
  • Ensuring compliance, control, and governance at all times
  • Providing data and reports as requested

Who we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service focus and a sense of urgency in resolving issues
  • Professional and confidential approach
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely, informed decisions
  • Understanding of when and how to escalate issues
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills (experience with Oracle R12 & Insphire systems is an advantage, but not essential—training provided)
