Overview

We wish to employ a professional and experienced Beauty Therapist to join us in launching our exciting new beauty business. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual. (It is not a self employed opportunity.)

We have been an established hair salon in Hereford city centre for 10 years and have an extensive clientele who would love to enjoy a range of beauty services on the premises. The hair salon and the new beauty rooms have been decorated and presented to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to Level 3 and experienced at working in a busy environment. They will possess a keen eye for detail and a genuine enthusiasm for enhancing clients' natural beauty. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver personalised beauty treatments in a welcoming and luxurious environment, ensuring that clients leave feeling confident and satisfied.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expert advice, delivering high-quality services, and maintaining excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of beauty treatments including facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, specialised skincare procedures and hopefully also massage.
  • Offer personalised consultations to recommend suitable treatments and products based on individual client needs
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic treatment area in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client preferences
  • Provide exceptional customer service by creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere
  • Stay updated with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and product knowledge to enhance service quality

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
  • Strong communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and recommend products effectively
  • Organised with attention to detail to ensure all treatments are performed to the highest standards
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment whilst also working closely with management to ensure the rapid growth of this exciting new business.
  • The job can be part or full time with an hourly rate plus commission in line with qualifications and experience.
  • The ability to bring existing clients to the business would be a distinct advantage but is not a necessity.

  • Total pay for an experienced Therapist ( a basic hourly rate plus commission combined) could equate £15 - £16 an hour. More could be possible as business develops.

  • As this is a new business the Therapist could be invited to help shape the business with the potential to incorporate their own particular specialisms into the services.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 40 per week
