We have a rewarding role available within our Detached Youth Work Team. This team are dedicated to empowering and supporting the youth of Wirral to navigate life's challenges and reach their full potential. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Detached Youth Support Workers to join our team and make a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals in our community.
- Salary: JNC Assisting Range, Points 5 (Unqualified)
- Hours: 6 hours per week (flexible, including evenings/weekends)
- Location: Wirral
As a Detached Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging with young people in their communities and places where they hang out. You will provide guidance, mentorship, and a listening ear to address the unique needs and concerns of young people.
About the Candidate:
You must have a passion for working with young people and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives. You will be understanding of the pressures and challenges young people face today, with excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds. You will be empathetic, have patience, and active listening skills to understand and address the concerns of young individuals. You will be required to work flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend work. Previous experience in youth work, community engagement, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
