We're expanding our team to deliver a major
substation project
, supporting the Great Grid Upgrade programme. Based from King's Cross during early design development, you'll then transition to site in Elstree, Hertfordshire, leading design integration through delivery.

*What you'll be doing*

  • Leading the design management process across the project lifecycle – from pre-construction to handover.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring alignment to client and regulatory requirements.
  • Driving design assurance, compliance, and optimisation on a complex electrical substation project.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing decisions and facilitating change.
  • Supporting site delivery by managing technical queries, risk, and quality assurance.

*What we're looking for*

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Chartered or working towards).
  • 10+ years' experience in design management, with proven expertise in substation or major power/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, risk management, and governance in design.
  • A collaborative leader, able to inspire teams, manage change, and navigate complex client environments.
