As Head of Private Client, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the Private Client team while providing direction and mentorship.
  • Managing a diverse range of private client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Trusts, and Probate.
  • Delivering exceptional client care, ensuring that all matters are handled efficiently from inception to resolution.
  • Supervising and supporting junior staff, including paralegals and assistants.
  • Cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with clients, agents, and colleagues.
  • Expanding the team and enhancing the Private Client offerings to better serve the clients.

Qualifications and attributes:

  • STEP Qualification (or actively pursuing).
  • At least 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a solid track record in managing complex private client matters.
  • Extensive experience in wills, probate, estate administration, and powers of attorney.
  • A strong ambition to build and lead a team with a vision for departmental growth.
  • Confidence in managing a caseload independently, supported by administrative staff.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to form and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • An enthusiastic, compassionate, and adaptable approach to client care.
