Big C - a regional cancer charity supporting local people - is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join the team at our wonderful shop in Dereham.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of our shops ongoing success, where youll find a wide range of items from clothing to bric-a-brac. Youll play a key role in creating a welcoming, friendly space for our customers and supporters, while helping to bring out the best in our donated treasures. By supporting and inspiring our fantastic team of staff and volunteers, youll make sure the shop runs smoothly and continues to be a valued part of the local community.
What youll be doing:
- When deputising for the Shop Manager; taking the lead in the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the shop.
- Maximising the value of donated items by overseeing effective sorting, eye-catching displays, and regular stock rotation.
- Supporting the Shop Manager to meet income targets, while driving high retail standards through strong leadership and team motivation.
- Assisting with the recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing support of volunteers helping everyone to thrive.
- Actively encouraging local donations to keep the shop well-stocked with quality items.
- Helping to coordinate furniture collections and deliveries to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Role Details:
- Part-time, 14 hours per week (flexible schedule, includes weekends).
- Salary: £9,019.84 to £9,095.30 per annum (£22,549.61 to £22,738.25 full time equivalent)
