Job Summary

We are seeking Gas Engineers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across domestic settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and practical skills in plumbing, welding, and the use of hand and power tools. The position involves working on residential projects, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety.

Duties

  • Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Conduct routine inspections of gas installations to identify potential issues or hazards
  • Use welding equipment, hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs and modifications
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection
  • Carry out heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely as required on-site
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
  • Assist in the assembly of components for larger gas-related projects
  • Operate vehicles for transportation to various sites as needed
  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised following health and safety protocols

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or similar role within the industry
  • Competency in welding, plumbing and assembly tasks
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to gas systems and general construction work
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
