Lecturer in English – The Role:

Due to continued growth, Wiltshire College & University Centre is expanding its English department and seeking dynamic and dedicated Lecturer in English to join our team.

You will join a dedicated team of Lecturers who deliver high-quality teaching and learning using well-structured schemes of work, assessment plans, and resources that are continually reviewed and enhanced each year. As a Lecturer, you will prepare and deliver engaging lessons, mark student work, and regularly assess students working towards recognised qualifications. You will be committed to helping students reach their full potential and ensuring that your teaching materials reflect best practices.

Lecturer in English – Key Responsibilities:

As a Lecturer in English, you will be at the forefront of delivering outstanding teaching and assessment, ensuring that our students achieve their maximum potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and thought-provoking English lessons across a range of levels, from Functional Skills to GCSE and beyond.

  • Inspire and motivate students, encouraging them to reach their full academic potential through innovative and inclusive teaching methods.

  • Help students develop vital communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills that will serve them in both their academic and professional futures.

  • Create tailored lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring all students can thrive.

  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer support to help students overcome any academic challenges they may face.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive classroom environment that empowers students to excel and grow.

Lecturer in English – You:
