Implant Technician

• Lead and manage all aspects of production, including overseeing all work that is manufactured in the Laboratory. Ensuring that appropriate quality checking is completed up to the stage of being signed off by a GDC Registered Technician.

• Lead a team of Dental Technicians producing a full range of dental prosthesis.

• Manage workflow to ensure all appliances are designed on schedule.

• Allocate case loads to technicians in each department to optimise skillsets and utilisation.

• Support the utilisation of technical resource across the lab group as a means of creating additional capacity.

• Communicate with Laboratory Director to ensure staffing levels are maintained to appropriate levels as well as any other department needs.

• Ensure that all staff work in a manner compliant with industry regulations.

• Communicate with customers regarding cases.

• Provide advice and technical solutions to technicians in department on problematic cases to achieve high quality outcomes.

• Identify training and development opportunities for staff, including new members of the team.

• Responsible for quality control of all work within the Laboratory, pre-sign by GDC registered technician.

• Complex case planning support to the team where applicable.

• Notifying Laboratory Director when new equipment is required.

• Play a proactive role as a part of the Laboratory Leadership Team, to ensure the on-going smooth operation of the Laboratory.

• Support ALS Group initiatives implement digital products.

Qualifications and

Professional Memberships

Experienced GDC Qualified Dental Technician.

Implant specialist

Experience

Experience Managing case workflow through Laboratory, including allocating and checking work. Experience managing customer relationships.

Skills

High quality Technician, People Management skills.
