Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Complete all aspects of joinery and carpentry as required including but not limited to fitting, installing, construction of walls and ceilings and installing door frames.
- Undertake tiling duties as required.
- Perform fire door remedials across both Construction and LIFT estates.
- Perform PPM's as required. These include planned maintenance task within individual capability, unrelated to joinery works.
- Respond to reactive calls and remedial works.
- Utilise mobile device to update on planned and reactive works, ensuring up to date notes and job closures are maintained daily.
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times in accordance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the appropriate RAMS are completed prior to commencing work and escalate any concerns to the relevant Team Leader on site.
- Work as a positive team player, demonstrating mutual respect and integrity for others.
- Maintain open and effective communication at all levels within the business.
Key Skill/Experience Requirements
- Substantial, relevant experience in commercial environment
- Minimum of 2 years Relevant Experience in Joinery (Qualifications Desirable)
- Valid UK Driving License
- CSCS Skill Card (Desirable)
- Well versed in completing paperwork including PPM paperwork, inspection sheets, RAMS etc.
- The ability to work in accordance with health and safety requirements as a matter of routine
- Good working knowledge of the building services environment and other disciplines would be an advantage
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate journey and workload planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Your work will take you into buildings with children and vulnerable adults, therefore you will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check.
