Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for web and mobile applications.
  • Define and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide UI/UX designers within the team.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Ensure designs align with business goals and user needs.
  • Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into design solutions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.
  • Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in lead designer role.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing design projects for web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and MuleSoft integration.
  • Knowledge of UX principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in
    government or citizen-facing projects
    .
  • Understanding of
    API-led connectivity
    and MuleSoft architecture.
  • Expertise in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
  • Added advantage knowing AI-Powered & Emerging Tools
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles.

Preferred Qualifications & Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.
