The Role:
The Adults Finance team is a front facing team providing support to the wider Department, individuals and their families. Due to this, there is a requirement for this role to be office based for the first 6 month probationary period and then a hybrid model following that. The right person for this role needs to have experience of supervising staff and confidently manage all aspects of HR tasks training will be provided. Alongside that, and in order to provide support to the Senior Team Lead, we are looking for someone who can ensure accurate records are kept and monitored, complete complex calculations using Excel and identify social care debt and reconcile client accounts between ASC system and the corporate finance system.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
You need to have excellent customer service and communication skills to enable you to deal with queries from the individuals we support/their families/colleagues across the wider Social Care Team and our care providers.
You will have excellent organisational and IT skills with a thorough working knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
This role requires the right candidate to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a flexible approach to the working day and the ability to think on your feet, rest assured no two days are the same
Experience of working within a Social services/Public Sector environment would be desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of Adult Social Care case management systems (i.e., MOSAIC) and financial systems is also desirable.
Applicants should have English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.
