Assistant Herdsperson

• Full time Dairy Assistant Herdsperson position available to help manage our 1850 Holstein Friesian dairy business in South West Scotland.
• We're looking for someone with dairy experience and who is an enthusiastic and passionate person with a desire to progress within the dairy industry. Excellent opportunity for you to take on responsibility and further your experience. Ideally Ai and Foot trimming trained.
• You will be an integral part of the daily routine and your role will include some milking, foot trimming, dairy and parlour hygiene, calving and some nights on call on a rota system. Training courses will be provided in all areas to increase your skills.
• Excellent standards of herd health and welfare as well as parlour hygiene are paramount.
• You should have ambition, enthusiasm, honesty, be open minded and forward thinking. You'll be willing to work in a team, accommodating and respecting others and providing leadership at times when needed in return we'll offer a competitive salary and a 2 bedroom Central Heated cottage is available if required on the farm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
