Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Factory Manager to oversee daily operations within our food production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of manufacturing processes, maintaining high standards of food safety, and leading a team towards continuous improvement. Duties

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of food production processes to meet quality standards and production targets.
  • Implement and monitor HACCP protocols to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management to foster a productive team environment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and company specifications.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and organise maintenance schedules.
  • Analyse production data using basic maths skills to optimise efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the factory premises.
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food production or manufacturing management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to factory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to apply basic maths skills for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff development.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for liaising with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Relevant qualifications in food safety or manufacturing management are highly desirable. This position offers an engaging environment where leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality are highly valued.

Pay: £32,615.58-£60,806.13 per year
