Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills and gain experience in a dynamic retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding service to customers, maintaining store presentation, and supporting sales initiatives. Prior experience in retail is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Provide detailed product information and recommend suitable options to customers
  • Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately handle transactions
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and stockroom
  • Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled and displayed attractively
  • Assist with visual merchandising to promote sales and enhance store appearance
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally
  • Support inventory management through stock checks and stock replenishment
  • Participate in promotional activities and sales campaigns as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and eager to learn new skills
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
