Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tearoom Hospitality Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your primary duties will include serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food preparation. A passion for hospitality and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Serve a variety of teas, coffees, and light refreshments while adhering to food safety standards.
  • Assist in food preparation, including assembling platters and preparing simple dishes as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the tearoom, including tables, utensils, and serving areas.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide recommendations on menu items.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels of supplies and report any shortages to management.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Previous barista experience is preferred for crafting quality beverages.
  • Proficient in serving techniques and customer service skills.
  • Basic food preparation skills to assist in creating menu items.
  • Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
