Due to expanding contracts, Devine Group is seeking applications for an experienced Plant Fitter in the Hampshire area. The successful candidate will contribute to the profitability of the business by delivering a high-quality, professional service to our clients.

Devine Plant Hire has been proudly serving the construction industry with high-quality service for over 40 years. Due to continued growth and an expanding plant fleet, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team.

About the Role

This is a mobile position covering Sussex, Hampshire, Southampton, and Surrey, with occasional travel further afield as required. You will play a key role in maintaining our growing fleet and ensuring our equipment remains reliable, safe, and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults and plant failures accurately and efficiently
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a range of heavy plant, including:
  • Excavators
  • Dumpers
  • Rollers
  • Telehandlers
  • Conduct MIG and Arc welding as required
  • Undertake additional service and repair work to vehicles when necessary
  • Complete all tasks with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy plant machinery
  • Competence in MIG and Arc welding
  • Experience with Hitachi, Thwaites, and JCB machinery (advantageous)
  • A full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle (or similar)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player
