The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Reliability Engineer with a strong background in Packaging operations to join our dynamic team at Bellshill. The role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations by driving proactive maintenance strategies, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and leading the integration of advanced technologies. You'll have the overall aim of improving plant reliability, increasing availability and setting standards driving asset lifecycle improvements. A focus on obsolescence of our existing technology and generating plans for replacement with new. You'll also support the Bottling Team Leaders in the leadership and development of the Maintenance team.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance ways of working to increase the reliability of packing and bottling equipment.
  • Create a plan for replacement of obsolete mechanical/electrical components across bottling assets.
  • Lead reliability and improvement projects focussed on maintenance and cost reduction increasing asset availability.
  • Introduce new technology to production to improve performance and work closely with projects team to improve systems and project integration.
  • Provide day to day technical support for the team leaders and technicians. Act as the lead co-ordinator for escalating maintenance or breakdown support.
  • Drive overall Asset care strategy coaching practices and setting standards.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • 5+ Years experience in manufacturing environment with a strong working knowledge of Packaging equipment, standards and systems.
  • Qualified to minimum HNC/HND level in an Engineering discipline.
  • Previous knowledge gained within an RCM driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Continuous improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience of all relevant technical aspects within a FMCG environment.
  • Proven leader who can set objectives, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their maximum potential.
