TekAlloy is recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace business for an Estimator / Project Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a well-established company supplying high-quality components to the aerospace and MOD sectors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyse customer requirements and engineering drawings to produce parts.
  • Estimate costs for materials, labour, potential sub-contracts, and equipment.
  • Generate accurate quotations for customers based on estimated costs.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure cost estimates are accurate and efficient.
  • Maintain records of quotations, estimates, and customer communications.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to identify new business opportunities and promote the company.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and production regarding machining processes and capabilities.
  • Monitor and review estimates to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly working environment.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in engineering or manufacturing, ideally within aerospace.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, including milling, turning, and CNC operations.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
