We're seeking a future team member for the role of Lead, Category and Commodity Sourcing Director to join our Procurement team. This role is located in London, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead a team of category and commodity sourcing leads responsible for all needs specific to category and commodity sourcing, including indirect leadership through more junior managers.
  • Contribute to the development and oversee the implementation of the global sourcing strategy, serving as the primary contact responsible for negotiation outcomes across all categories and commodities.
  • Work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer to develop and manage global sourcing activities, taking ownership of global sourcing performance and ensuring alignment with regional and global sourcing strategies.
  • Approve commodity savings metrics, supplier consolidation, and cost reduction recommendations; lead research on industry trends, emerging markets, suppliers, and sourcing methodologies to inform supplier selection.
  • Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop sourcing category leads, maximizing their contributions, professional growth, and leadership capabilities; manage performance processes for category sourcing managers.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; business degree preferred; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading large, complex projects with extensive knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes and practices preferred.
  • Proven track record of negotiating successful results and managing spend preferred.
