Job Summary

We are seeking a class 1 Driver to join our team. We have 2 options to chose from, for the right candidate.

Rota 1. We are offering a full time contract to work a 4 on 4 off rota, and extra hours are availible to cover annual leave etc. Each shift will be approx 10-12 hrs starting early morning, this is still to be confirmed but predicting a 1am-2am start.

Rota 2. This would be covering 3 shifts at the end of each week, specifically Friday, Saturday and Sundays or Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Each shift will be approx 10-12hrs starting early morning, this is still to be confirmed but predicting a 1am-2am start.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting from 1 location and transporting goods safely and efficiently on a very easy route. All loading and unloading will be assisted.

Route - Collect truck from warehouse in WF9 3FD, travel to collection site at specific time, this location is only 3 miles up the road and next to the A1.

Deliver material to TW6 5DE, Hounslow.

Drive back to base at WF9 3FD. Journey time is usually 4-4.5 hours.

Duties

  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo all loading and unloading will be assisted.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • The house keeping of this vehicle inside and out is essential, both drivers are fully responsible for this task and it will be monitored.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Communicate effectively with Manager
  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving large vehicles.
  • Extra hours available, to cover annual leave on weekdays from time to time.
