Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
  • Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries, utilising GPS and other navigation tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of goods for delivery.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a warehouse environment would be advantageous, particularly in relation to loading and unloading procedures.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required, along with any necessary certifications for commercial driving. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated, proactive, and possess excellent organisational skills to ensure smooth operations in our courier services.
