Frontend Developer (React / TypeScript - 100% Remote, with Belfast office access for collaboration when desired/required)

as a
Senior Frontend /React Engineer
.

In this role, you'll design and build high-quality, user-centric web applications that are responsive, scalable, and performant. You'll collaborate closely with product teams and backend engineers to deliver seamless experiences, improve existing applications, and create brand-new features. You'll also mentor junior developers and help shape engineering best practices across the frontend discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with product and backend teams to deliver robust, user-friendly solutions.
• Take ownership of key frontend projects, from design to implementation.
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive, performant UI.
• Ensure applications are accessible, responsive, and visually consistent.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
• Apply engineering best practices to maintain quality and scalability.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience writing clean, maintainable production-grade code in
  React and TypeScript
  .
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, design patterns, and performance optimisation.
• Experience integrating with APIs and backend services.
• Ability to implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for frontend applications.
• Familiarity with state management tools (e.g. Redux, Zustand, or similar).
• Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with server-side rendering ).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Experience with modern CSS frameworks and styling approaches (e.g. Tailwind, Styled Components).
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Previous experience in media, publishing, or high-traffic consumer-facing platforms.
