About the role

We're looking for a hands-on Mobile Security Manager to lead our out-of-hours operation. You'll manage mobile response teams, ensure service delivery across multiple sites, and be the senior point of contact during nights and weekends. This is a field-based leadership role that blends people management, incident response, and high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

· Lead, coach and performance-manage mobile patrol and response officers during out-of-hours shifts.

· Plan and monitor patrol routes, locks/unlocks, welfare checks and alarm responses to meet SLAs/KPIs.

· Act as incident commander for urgent issues (break-ins, escalations, H&S), ensuring accurate reports and timely client updates.

· Complete quality audits and site risk reviews; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

· Produce nightly service summaries, incident logs and KPI dashboards; brief senior management daily.

· Manage rotas, short-notice cover, and resource allocation to meet fluctuating demand.

· Ensure vehicle, equipment and body-worn camera compliance; oversee stock (keys, seals, PPE).

· Liaise with clients, police and keyholders; maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.

· Enforce company policies, BS7858 screening standards and Health & Safety best practice.

· Support onboarding and refresher training; mentor officers for progression.

What we're looking for

· Essential: Frontline SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence (or Security Guard) – CCTV licence desirable.

· Full, clean UK manual driving licence and comfortable with extensive night driving.

· Proven experience in mobile security, supervision or duty management (out-of-hours).

· Strong incident management, decision-making and report writing skills.

· Confident with workforce tech (e.g., TrackTik/SmartTask/Timegate), smartphones, and basic Excel/Google Sheets.

· Professional, calm under pressure, and customer-focused.

· Eligible to work in the UK and able to pass BS7858 vetting (5-year checkable history).

Typical rota & hours

Nights and weekends on a rotating pattern (e.g., 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts) with occasional flexibility for operational needs.

KPIs you'll own

· Alarm response times and first-time resolution rate.

· Patrol completion and proof-of-presence compliance.

· Incident reporting quality and timeliness.

· Client satisfaction and escalation rate.

· Sickness/absence, punctuality and staff retention in the mobile team.
