- Support compliance activities and contribute to achieving and maintaining hospital accreditations.
- Provide oversight and coordination of the Quality Improvement (QI) Programme, promoting best practice and continuous improvement across all departments.
- Facilitate effective communication between teams and governance committees, ensuring quality and risk information is clearly reported and that action plans are implemented and monitored.
- Prepare and present comprehensive quality and risk reports to governance committees and senior leadership.
- Coordinate and participate in mock inspections to ensure ongoing readiness for regulatory and accreditation reviews, providing assurance of compliance and quality standards.
- Act as hospital policy controller, overseeing the development, review, approval, and implementation of local policies to ensure alignment with corporate governance requirements.
- Identify, analyse, and report on recurring themes and trends from incidents, complaints, and audits, ensuring that learning and improvement are embedded across the organisation.
- Manage the incident reporting process in line with the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), coordinating Patient Safety Incident Investigations (PSIIs) and ensuring effective learning outcomes.
- Maintain and oversee the Risk Register, ensuring entries are accurate, current, and reflective of emerging risks and organisational priorities.
