Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Site Reliability

Location: Nottingham, UK | Team: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering

Are you passionate about building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that power global Risk Intelligence products? We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive innovation, implement modern DevOps practices, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers our platforms:
 

o Automate full-stack infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitOps workflows.

o Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.

o Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management, and observability.

o Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals.

o Continuously improve systems through automation, performance tuning, and process optimization.

o Contribute to our DevOps culture, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.

Your Tech Toolkit

We're looking for someone with experience in:

o Cloud platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)

o Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation

o Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Istio Service Mesh

o CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI (preferred), Jenkins, Bitbucket

o Scripting & automation: Bash/Shell, Python

o Security best practices: IAM, KMS, encryption in transit/at rest

o Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar

o Agile & DevOps culture: GitOps, SRE principles, Agile methodologies

What You Bring

o 4+ years in DevOps or platform engineering roles.

o Proven experience building and operating cloud-native platforms.

o Strong communication and collaboration skills.

o A passion for automation, developer enablement, and continuous delivery.

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
