We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our vehicles, providing exceptional customer service while diagnosing and resolving issues.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
- Rebuilding engines.
- work on electrical vehicles.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, identifying any mechanical issues or necessary repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in diagnosing problems accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Occasionally engage in welding tasks as needed for vehicle repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Willingness to perform heavy lifting as part of the job responsibilities.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
