###### Summary:

To efficiently manage and direct ramp activities to deliver high quality products/services to our customers providing the necessary services to aircraft as required. This includes (but is not limited) to manage the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and mail, sorting and transporting baggage to and from the aircraft and the operation of specialist ground servicing equipment.

Responsibilities:

Airside Areas

• Maintain applicable safety and performance standards.
• Develop and build good relations with customers and Airport authorities.
• Unload and load baggage and cargo from Aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report irregularities and take appropriate action.
• Participate and contribute to internal and customer meetings.
• Marshal aircraft precisely to and from gates
• Participate in safety meetings/briefings.
• Operate Ground service equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers and airlines.
• Provide cleaning, servicing, and replenishment tasks such as cabin cleaning, lavatory servicing, water replenishment etc

###### Other duties:

• Provide general administrative support to the Ground Handling Team and business.
• Provide holiday/absence cover for colleagues within the team when necessary.
• Travel to other sites may also be required.
• Flexibility with shifts to cover business critical needs.

###### Planning and Organizing:

• Liaise with Manager to ensure workload is shared and effective handovers take place when necessary.

###### Day-to-day Communications / Interactions:

• Always deliver clear verbal and written communication bearing in mind cultural and religious differences when dealing with internal/external customers and regulatory officials.

###### Teamwork:

• Contribute to discussions and listen to the views of colleagues, sharing ideas and information.
• Demonstrates drive, enthusiasm, commitment to team objectives and support in the absence of team members.

###### Qualifications / Requirements:

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Experience within an aviation environment is desirable, but not essential.

• None.

###### Reports to:

• Ramp Supervisor.

The Post holder will be expected to carry out any other duties allocated that are appropriate to the grade and nature of this post.
