Job Description:
S.A. Signature is seeking a skilled and reliable live-out handyman to provide essential maintenance and repair services for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including general repairs, gardening, and driving family members to appointments and activities. The ideal candidate will be versatile, proactive, and able to work independently to ensure that the household operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the property, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the home to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
- Assist with gardening tasks, including lawn care, planting, pruning, and maintaining outdoor spaces to ensure they are attractive and well-kept.
- Provide safe and reliable driving services for family members to various appointments, activities, and events as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding maintenance needs and any ongoing projects.
- Support additional household tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willing attitude.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role is essential, with references available.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills in general repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Experience in gardening and landscaping tasks, with a good understanding of plant care and maintenance.
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Requirements:
- Permission to work in the UK is essential.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving responsibilities.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in handyman or maintenance roles.
- Must have reliable transportation for commuting to and from the residence.
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on the family's needs, including potential evening or weekend hours.
- A willingness to undergo a thorough due diligence process to ensure the safety and security of our clients is required.
