Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
  • Stock rotation and Orders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
