As an experienced Music Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing this passion and leading students, particularly at Key Stage 5, through their musical education.

As an experienced Music Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a particular focus on A-Level music, ensuring students excel in both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.

• Designing and delivering a diverse and engaging curriculum that includes music theory, performance, composition, and music history.

• Guiding students in individual and group performances, helping them refine their vocal, instrumental, and compositional skills.

• Collaborating with the music team to enhance and evolve the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of students across different year groups.

• Providing constructive feedback to assess and support student progress, helping them achieve their full potential, especially those taking A-Level music.

• Supporting extracurricular activities, including school concerts, music clubs, and ensembles, to give students the opportunity to showcase their talents outside the classroom.

• Contributing to the department's growth, including mentoring less experienced Music Teachers and playing a leadership role in curriculum development.

We are looking for an experienced Music Teacher who is dedicated to providing an inspiring, high-quality music education. You should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field.

Proven experience teaching music at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a strong track record of success at A-Level.

Deep knowledge of music theory, performance, composition, and music history.

A passion for engaging and inspiring students to achieve their best in both practical and theoretical music tasks.

A creative approach to teaching that ensures lessons are stimulating and accessible for all students.

Excellent communication skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.

A commitment to extracurricular activities that enrich the school's music programme.

Experience in mentoring or taking on leadership responsibilities within a department is highly desirable.
