Carwood Smith is a boutique Executive Search and Talent Advisory firm operating in the global markets and natural resources space. We partner with some of the world's most sophisticated hedge funds, trading houses and financial institutions and help execute search mandates across commodities and global markets. The Role

You will support the growth of our search practice focused on hedge funds, trade houses and global markets businesses. Core responsibilities include:

  • Market mapping and research across commodities and global markets
  • Building relationships with prospective candidates through calls, meetings and structured networking
  • Identifying, assessing, and headhunting talent across both front-office and strategic functions
  • Initiating new business leads and contributing to client development
  • Ensuring meticulous data management within our internal systems (including FileFinder)
  • Following market trends and delivering insight to the team and clients

This is a role with visibility, responsibility and the chance to directly influence client outcomes.

We're Looking For

  • The ability to operate confidently in a
    lean, high-expectation, entrepreneurial
    environment
  • Minimum 2:1 degree
    from a strong university
  • 1–3 years' experience in a professional or corporate environment
  • Intellectual curiosity, drive and a naturally commercial mindset
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and calmness in high-pressure situations
  • A transparent, articulate communication style
  • The ability to build rapport, think on your feet and manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in English and strong written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

You do
not

need prior experience in executive search or markets, but we are looking for the willingness to learn fast, work hard and navigate high-level conversations with professionalism.
