Marketing Associate
Type One Style - UK - £25k to £30k
About This Role
Are you a creative marketer who wants to use your skills for something meaningful? We're looking for a Marketing Associate to join our growing team and help shape how thousands of people experience our brand every day.
This isn't just another marketing role - it's a chance to be part of a vibrant, supportive team where your ideas matter, your creativity is celebrated, and your work directly impacts a community that genuinely needs what we do. If you're ready to move beyond theory and into the exciting reality of fast-paced ecommerce marketing, we'd love to hear from you.
Who are Type One Style?
We make CGM patches for people with Type 1 diabetes. What started as a simple product has grown into a community of thousands who trust us with something that sits on their skin 24/7.
Now we're expanding - new products, new markets, and we need someone who can help us tell that story across every channel. This role is the real deal: you'll own projects from concept to execution, see immediate results from your work, and learn ecommerce marketing from people who live and breathe it.
What You'll Be Doing
Content Creation & Brand Building
- Design scroll-stopping graphics and social content in Canva - product shots, lifestyle imagery, and ad creatives that actually perform
- Create compelling photography and user-generated content that resonates with our community
- Write copy for social media, emails, and product pages that sounds like a human, not a corporate robot
- Maintain our brand guidelines while keeping things fresh and relevant across all touchpoints
Email Marketing & Customer Journeys (Klaviyo)
- Build email campaigns that people actually want to open; we're talking proper segmentation, personalisation, and creative that works
- Create and manage automated flows: welcome series, post-purchase nurture, abandoned cart recovery, re-engagement campaigns
- Segment audiences based on behaviour, purchase history, and engagement levels
- A/B test subject lines, content, and send times, then analyse what's working and iterate fast
Project & Campaign Coordination )
- Manage marketing projects and campaign calendars so nothing falls through the cracks
- Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth execution across channels
- Support new product launches from concept through to post-launch analysis
Community & Social Media Engagement
- Manage day-to-day social media with content that's authentic and engaging, not just promotional
- Respond to comments and messages in a way that builds genuine community (our customers become friends)
- Identify trends and opportunities to keep our brand relevant without jumping on every bandwagon
- Share customer stories that showcase the real impact of what we do
What We're Looking For
Essential
- A degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Genuine passion for digital marketing and a hunger to learn fast
- Strong visual design sense; you understand what looks good and why
- Excellent writing skills; you know the difference between copy that converts and copy that falls flat
- Confidence with data and using insights to improve your work (open rates and conversion metrics don't scare you, they interest you)
- Organisation and attention to detail; resilience and good time management skills
- Enthusiasm for ecommerce and seeing the direct results of your efforts
Most Importantly, You Are
- Creative with ideas but practical about execution
- A proactive team player who asks questions and shares what you learn
- Excited by the prospect of making a tangible difference
- Ready to roll up your sleeves and do hands-on work
- Comfortable with the fast pace of ecommerce (things change quickly, that's part of the fun)
Why You'll Love This Role
The Learning Curve Is Real
- Direct mentorship from our CEO and marketing manager; you'll be given unmatched support and training to help you become the best version of you and we will back you all the way. You will be taught how to learn effectively and how to use failure and iteration to gain years of experience in just months.
- Real responsibility from week one; you'll own campaigns, not just assist with them
- Exposure to the full marketing mix: creative, analytics, paid media strategy, customer research
- No corporate bureaucracy—just fast feedback, real projects, and room to try things
You'll See the Impact
We're not a faceless corporation. When you optimise a product page, you'll watch the conversion rate change. When you write an email, you'll see the responses. When you create social content, you'll see the engagement. It's immediate, tangible, and genuinely satisfying.
The Work Matters
Our customers message us photos, tell us their stories, become part of our community. You'll be marketing to real people with real needs, not just pushing products. That changes everything about how you approach the work. We are a supportive team that celebrates wins together and learns from failures.
How to Apply
Send us your CV along with a short note telling us:
- One marketing campaign you've seen recently that made you think "that's clever" and why
- What excites you most about this specific role
- One thing you're nervous about or want to learn (we value honesty)
- What about your character makes you the right person for a rapidly growing startup brand
No corporate speak. Just be yourself.
