Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Religious Studies and PSHCE to Key Stages 3 and 4, as part of an innovative curriculum.
  • Support students in developing knowledge, understanding, and skills across a range of subjects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging and effective schemes of work.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies and PSHCE.
  • Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 5.
  • Knowledge of related subjects such as Psychology, Citizenship, or Criminology.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
