About the RoleThe Security Awareness and Human Culture Manager is responsible for championing a security-conscious organizational culture and driving sustained behavior change across the company. This role bridges technical security teams and the broader organization, ensuring cybersecurity awareness is deeply ingrained in daily practices and aligned with business objectives.
What You'll DoStrategy & Program Leadership
- Execute a comprehensive security awareness and human risk management strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead the delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity education, phishing simulations, and content (face-to-face and virtual) targeting a variety of audiences.
- Design and implement engaging, role-specific training programs delivered via computer-based platforms, live webinars, and in-person sessions across global locations.
Communications & Engagement
- Craft clear, compelling communications about cybersecurity best practices, simplifying technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Host and coordinate organizational events focused on cybersecurity education, fostering a culture of security awareness and empowerment.
- Develop a wide range of awareness content such as published web pages, business reports, presentations, newsletters, notification releases.
Human Risk Management
- Identify security behaviors that are causing risk to the organization in a data-driven manner and in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Establish metrics and measurements demonstrating program effectiveness.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure the security awareness program meets all industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements (GLBA, GDPR, ISO 27002, NIST, PCI, SOX).
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Legal to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Education, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in training, education, security awareness, or related disciplines; experience in software or technology environments preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, SANS, CPLP, GIAC, CIPP, CIPM) are highly desirable.
- Creative thinking and ability to produce engaging educational content.
