Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in a Functional/ Longevity Medicine and Regenerative Aesthetics Clinic

Position Overview

Founders Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with experience or interest in aesthetics services to support our functional/ longevity medicine and regenerative aesthetics clinic. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with longevity therapies (e.g., IV drips, ozone, EBOO), and supporting aesthetic procedures. The HCA will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional client outcomes and a seamless clinic experience.

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Clinic Manager

Collaborates with: Functional/Longevity Medicine Doctors, Nurses, Aesthetic Practitioners, and Practice Management Team

Schedule

  • Part Time Working, approximately 2-3 days a week commitment required.
  • May include occasional weekends and rare early mornings/evening hours (with advance notice)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering functional medicine and longevity therapies (e.g., IV drips, ozone, EBOO) under supervision
  • Support aesthetic procedures, including preparation, client care, and post-treatment follow-up
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are sterilised and ready
  • Take patient histories, vital signs, and document clinical notes accurately in the EMR
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions for longevity therapies and aesthetic services
  • Engage in the discovery consultation process and create appropriate recommendation plans
  • Maintain compliance with national and CQC guidelines, including infection control and safety protocols
  • Support brand development through occasional participation in social media and practice-building activities
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of clinical supplies
  • To ensure the provision of a high quality patient service within a safe, efficient working environment by providing effective support to the clinical staff encouraging the development and progress of the Clinic.
  • Maintaining appropriate records to ensure continuity and quality of care for patients.
  • To be involved in clinic's infection control pathways, identifying associated risks to the service or in patient care.
  • Maintaining records of appointments, financial transactions and other administrative duties.
  • To maintain skills at the current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain personal competency.
  • Participate in all activities required by CQC registration.

Administration

  • To maintain accurate, comprehensive records of all consultations, treatments and investigations in the patient's notes, both written and computerised
  • Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient care
  • Maintain effective diary management, informing staff of any changes in the patient pathway.
  • Following company policies in regards the patient confidentiality and secure emails.
  • In participation with colleagues ensure the maintenance of all equipment is in date and used accordingly. Also, following any infection control guidelines.
  • Stock levels relating to patient care are in date and put away accordingly.
  • Always ensure compliance with patient confidentiality, in line with current legislation.

Qualifications

  • Certified Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with an active registration (e.g., Care Certificate or equivalent)
  • Experience in aesthetics services (e.g., assisting with injectables, laser treatments) is highly desirable
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in functional medicine or aesthetics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate bedside manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and basic clinical documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity including lifting, bending, and standing
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient care and communication
  • Ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
