Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained across our restaurant or hotel environment. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in supporting the management team to deliver a seamless dining or hospitality experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to maintain efficient operations.
- Support the management team in planning and executing restaurant or hotel activities.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to foster a motivated work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food production protocols.
- Assist with inventory control, stock ordering, and maintaining cleanliness across all areas.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly to uphold guest satisfaction.
- Support training programmes for new staff members in food preparation, serving, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hotel environments, including food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista roles.
- Supervising experience with demonstrated team management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- A professional attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
