starpower is looking for a director to join our growing team
starpower is a strategic, pop-culture-centric entertainment and influencer marketing agency that counsels and connects brands with entertainment, sport, music, fashion, and beauty Talent, Influencers, and Content. starpower works with clients across various industries, including but not limited to Beverage Alcohol/Spirits, Health & Wellness, and Financial Services.
We are a hybrid company with hub locations in London, Los Angeles, and New York. The ideal candidate is located in London and will sit within the UK global team.
What You'll Do
Talent buying and procurement.
Integrated Marketing
Be a thought-leader and critical thinker for clients and agency; meaningfully contributing to integrated marketing strategies – translating client's brand objectives into successful talent-led programs.
Negotiate celebrity talent deals and/or social influencer deals on behalf of brands.
Lead end-to-end talent procurement process from casting to negotiation to long form.
Implement talent-led brand campaigns and strategies, handling talent deliverables and serving as client liaison for all approvals.
Vet and use social tools and technologies with a solid understanding of the paid social as well as talent social analytics.
Experience with client servicing and/or working as part of an interagency group.
Attend regularly scheduled client meetings (often via Zoom) representing the team, owning the agenda and sharing recaps.
Counsel the client on mid-level negotiations and program executions.
Supervise entertainment social media channels, digital media, etc., for opportunities relevant to starpower clients.
Develop client-facing casting sheets, scopes of work, formal offers, contracts, and recap documents.
Create decks to showcase ideas and programs.

What You Should Have
6+ years' experience in the entertainment marketing space, with a history of negotiating talent and influencer deals on behalf of brands.
Experience in the spirits business (not required) and is familiar with relevant rules & regulations for the entertainment industry, such as SAG.
Established and growing network of relationships with talent agents, managers, publicists, and/or music labels.
A deep passion for pop culture and entertainment marketing – always know what and who is trending.
The ability to efficiently collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Proven experience with Influencer Marketing and up to date on trends, best practices, and innovations.
Demonstrated understanding of digital culture, is a versatile writer, clear communicator, and engaging presenter.
Enjoys working as part of a team with international clients and in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have office locations in cities in the US, UK, and Europe with many employees and clients that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients. We are also actively opening new office locations, so if one opens near you, our Real HART policy will apply. We are not looking for attendance for the sake of attendance but believe that the opportunity to coordinate in-office team meetings, 1:1 meetings with managers, taking advantage of on-site learning, and connecting with client partners is a critical to delivering on our purpose of making healthcare what it should be. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach.
