Your impact
The UK and Ireland water sector is undergoing a transformative wave of investment and at Jacobs, you'll be at the heart of delivering it. As part of our Water and Environment team, you'll help shape the future of water infrastructure through strategic partnerships with the region's largest water companies.
From early-stage feasibility and planning to design, construction management, and long-term operations, your work will span the full project lifecycle. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that make a real difference to communities and the environment.
With multiple long-term frameworks secured across the UK, Ireland, and globally, we're looking for passionate, skilled professionals ready to grow their careers in exciting new directions. You'll join a team of nearly 600 water experts working on high-profile projects, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and diverse challenges.

We are looking for experienced Civils Detailed Design Engineers to join our offices across the UK to reinforce our existing civils teams and further support our frameworks with UK Water Companies.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed design solutions for clean water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
- Support design-and-build delivery across multiple frameworks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Here's what you'll need
- Experience in civil engineering, with knowledge in detailed design and design-and-build execution for water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
- Member or working towards Chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of design standards, CDM regulations, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
