Qualified Dog Groomer

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Dog Groomer to join our newly established luxury grooming salon in Colchester. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a modern, purpose-built environment alongside a supportive and professional team.

Position Details

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out full grooms to a high standard, including bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, and styling in accordance with breed standards and client preferences.
• Perform additional grooming services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding treatments.
• Ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, safety, and comfort are maintained at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all grooming areas and equipment in line with salon policies.
• Provide excellent customer service, engaging professionally with clients to understand their requirements and advise on coat care between grooms.
• Contribute positively to the salon team and support the continued growth of the business.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year professional dog grooming experience or a relevant Level 2/3 qualification in Dog Grooming.
• Proven ability to groom a wide range of breeds and coat types to a professional standard.
• Strong animal handling and welfare knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
