HGV Class 1 (ADR) Driver – Industrial Gases / Green Energy

Location: Cambridgeshire (National Deliveries)

Pay: £17 per hour (PAYE) + £5 tax-free daily subsistence

Our Industrial Gases division is expanding, and we're seeking skilled and motivated Class 1 drivers to deliver high-quality service to customer sites nationwide.

The Role

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you'll be responsible for safely transporting tanks of Liquid Carbon Dioxide, LNG, other industrial gases, plus various renewable materials, while adhering to the highest safety standards. You'll join a dynamic, environmentally focused team that takes pride in delivering a reliable service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, with ADR certification preferred.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and cargo are safe.
  • Load, transport, and unload cryogenic gases and other materials safely.
  • Monitor tanker condition and report any operational issues.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times, including emergency response protocols.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to improve operations and promote safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in safety audits.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years' experience driving goods vehicles, with a safety-first mindset.
  • Class 1 HGV license (ADR desirable).
  • Driver CPC qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible attitude, willing to adapt to varied shifts to meet customer needs.
