About Us
We are a busy and friendly deli based on Carrington Street in the heart of Nottingham, known for serving high-quality, homemade food with fresh ingredients. We are looking for an organised and reliable Deli Chef to join our team, preparing and cooking an elevated range of deli selections (breakfast rolls, sandwiches, pastas, pastries, cakes etc.). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking to a structured menu but also bring their own flare to create 'Weekly Specials' to maintain customer retention and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to our established menu and standards.
· Ensure consistency in portion sizes, presentation, and food quality.
· Work closely with the deli management team and FOH colleagues to ensure smooth service and consistent flow of menu availability during our standard opening hours.
· Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
· Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including stock rotation and minimising waste.
Requirements
· Previous experience as a chef, cook, or kitchen supervisor.
· Ability to follow recipes and work to a pre-defined menu.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
· Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
