Job Description:
We are seeking a
proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Fee Earner to join our

dual role requires excellent organisational skills, legal knowledge, and
the ability to deliver high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist solicitors in
managing files, including document preparation, case tracking, and
filing. You will also manage a small caseload of lower-value or routine
cases as appropriate. - Document Preparation: Draft and
prepare legal documents, including contracts, correspondence, pleadings,
and reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. - Client Communication: Act as a key
point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, answering
queries, and gathering information to progress cases. - Research: Conduct legal research to
support case preparation, including researching relevant laws,
regulations, and case precedents. - Court Filings: Prepare and file legal
documents with courts and other legal bodies, ensuring all submissions
are completed on time. - Billing and Fee Management: Assist in
billing processes, manage time entries, and ensure accurate recording of
chargeable hours for cases. - Administrative Support: Perform
general administrative duties, including managing solicitor schedules,
booking meetings, and maintaining organised case files.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Fee Earner within a law firm, ideally with exposure to managing your own caseload.
- Understanding of legal procedures and relevant legal documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or legal assistant training is a plus.
- Experience in a specific area of law, such as personal injury, conveyancing, family law, or litigation.
Schedule:
- Full-time, office-based position with opportunities for professional development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for
someone looking to grow in the legal field by gaining hands-on
experience and taking on a small caseload in a dynamic, client-focused
