About us

Sheppy's Cider is an independent family-run cider-making business with a shop, restaurant, cafe and bar all within the House of Cider.

We have vacancies for experienced hospitality staff and can consider you for:

Part-time work hours a week)

Casual work (when work is available; usually daytime wakes and family occasions, or

evening parties)

Full and part-time staff are on a seven-day rota (including weekends and Bank Holidays) but you won't have to work on Christmas Day, Boxing day or New Year's Day, when we are closed. The hours are mostly daytime, but we have some evening work leading up to Christmas.

We are looking for:

A cheerful and enthusiastic team player who has:

Excellent communication skills

High standards in all areas of work

A delightful, confident manner with customers and colleagues alike

The successful applicant will have:

Barista and bar experience (ideal, but not essential)

Waiting experience (ideal, but not essential)

The energy to be on your feet all day and to do some lifting

A flexible attitude to teamwork across the whole business

Enthusiasm to grow and develop new skills and to get involved

Professional and well presented appearance

Two good quality references relating to your previous employment, attendance, honesty and personality

The post requires you to:

Put customers first and make yourself part of their memorable visit to Sheppy's Cider

Provide excellent customer service at all times with the aim of attracting new customers and retaining our current ones

Be knowledgeable about our products after training

Be trained across the shop, café and bar to achieve a broad range of skills

You will receive:

A share of all tips

28 days holiday a year pro rata (including Bank Holidays)

Enrolment in a pension scheme with Royal London after a period of three months' employment, subject to entitlement

Terms of Employment:

Employer: Sheppy's Cider Ltd

Hours of work: part-time hours) or casual hours

Probation: 6 months

Hourly rate of pay: Based on minimum wage, but dependent on experience

Start date: As soon as possible

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.27 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
